The Nike Air Jordan XV 15 Countdown Split (black / varsity red) was released on December 11, 1999 . They feature a black full grain leather upper, as well as beautifully woven mesh materials. The inspirations behind these come from the ultra fast X-15 Fighter Plane. They also feature an injected TPR external heel counter for additional support. The outsole is constructed from two pieces with extended wraps, as well as rubber herringbone pods for increased traction.
