The Air Jordan XX 20 (white / varsity red / black) Shoes were released on February 19, 2005 . They are the original colorway of the Air Jordan 20 (XX). They feature a white and black color scheme, along with a red ankle strap. The ankle area features perforations for breathe-ability, and the forefoot features six flexion grooves across the toe box area to prevent creasing. The white upper features shiny iridescent patent leather, and the black nubuck mini-rand on medial side is there to once again prevent creasing. The XX is truly unique, in that it has a revolutionary cushioning technology called Independent Podular Suspension (IPS) system, as well as a free - floating ankle strap. Other technical specifications include leather, patent leather or nubuck uppers with laser-etched highlights, a phylon midsole supporting twenty I.P.S.(Independent Podular Suspension) pods on the outsole, and an internal shank plate in the midfoot area.
