Designed by Tinker Hatfield the Air Jordan 2009 was truly revolutionary. It was the first Air Jordan to feature a visible air unit on the heel, the new Jumpman logo, an elephant print trim, and tumble leather for a luxury look. This silhouette of Jordan was to celebrate and commemorate his Slam Dunk Contest victory the year before. The Air Jordan 3 was also the first to feature a visible air unit. Lastly, the Air Jordan 3 featured elephant print on the upper.
